Soft, Lightweight, Permanently Iron-On, Cut Away Stabiliser or "Cover the Stitch"
SULKY® TENDER TOUCH stabiliser is a permanent lightweight, iron-on stabilizer that protects sensitive skin from scratchy stitches by fusing it onto the back of embroidered garments. As a soft and flexible knit mesh it retains the hand and drape of the fabric when
used as an interfacing or in fabric manipulation. It is Ideal as an iron-on lining in garment construction. All SULKY® stabilisers are acid and lead free, furthermore vegan!

SULKY® TENDER TOUCH
- When embroidering, use SULKY® Tender Touch as the first step in stabilising delicate fabrics like batiste, satin, lame, silk, open-weave wovens and lightweight cottons to help prevent shredding or distortion due to heavy needle penetration. It is likely you will need additional stabilisers as well because of the stretch nature of Tender Touch.
- If desired, you can give SULKY® Tender Touch a shot of steam before ironing it down to pre-shrink it.
- On lightweight or light-colored fabrics that you want to use as appliqué pieces on darker fabrics, iron SULKY® Tender Touch stabiliser on the back before cutting and appliquéing to both block out the color underneath and stabilise the fabric so it doesn’t fray, etc.
- Some fabrics are so stretchy they can force themselves down the throat plate. A SULKY® Cut-Away Stabiliser not only helps maintain the crispness of a design's detail, it also helps retain the design's shape after repeated washings.
