Application

Trace the appliqué shapes onto SULKY® THERMOFIX and cut them out. Iron them onto the back of the corresponding white fabric using SILICONE PAPER. Cover everything well with SILICONE PAPER and remove the paper once it has cooled. Cut out the motifs exactly.

Place the long white strips on a template A. Iron them onto the corresponding fabric using SILICONE PAPER. Cover everything well with SILICONE PAPER and remove the paper once it has cooled.

Construction
Thread the machine with brown SULKY® COTTON 50 in the needle and bobbin. Fuse the Template 1 fusible fleece piece to the wrong side of one Fabric Template 1 piece.
With wrong sides together, align the Template 1 Fabric/Fleece piece and the second Template 1 Fabric piece. Using an 1/8” seam allowance, baste the pieces together.

Finishing
Install a zipper foot onto the machine. Stitch each Template 2 piece to either side of the zipper to complete the zipper-pouch front. Trim the zipper unit even with the Template 2 pieces if needed.

Place the zipper pouch front over the zipper pouch back, right sides together. Align the raw edges and clip along the perimeter. Install a standard presser foot. Stitch the football pouch perimeter, using a ¼” seam allowance.
Clip into the curved edges of the seam allowance. Make sure not to cut through the stitching line.
Turn the Zipper Pouch right side out through the zipper.
